A pioneer project which is based on TMF Frameworks guideline, with increased focus on system integration in BSS/OSS. Our client required a standardized interface in order to secure revenue and ensure a competitive advantage. We at Sagacity Softwares have developed and implemented E-PnL platform which is NGOSS compatible solution framework following e-Tom 8.0, SID model and integration framework principles and employing TMF standards for internal and external communications. The package provides integration toolset as well as order handling, configurable resource management, supplier management processes and capabilities for both billing and P&L calculations. With our approach we helped our client to close their order much before time, pre identifying loss making projects and prediction of their annual cost. With introduction of E-PnL platform, client was able to clearly identify the customers who would be impacted in case of change of suppliers and was able to provide them advance intimation. This helped them gain customers confidence. The customers of the client were satisfied with service delivery. Our E-PnL platform also helped client to manage the purchase process better by providing the relationship between purchase requests, purchase order and invoices raised by suppliers to manage outflow of money. Our NGOSS solution framework can be used as standalone resource and is used extensively for various models to reduce interdependencies and allow independent development and extension. This has helped our client to manage their workflow and pace way towards further development with reduced operating expenditure and ensuring huge operational improvements.
The client is a VNO Operator with global network and vertical intelligence. The client, a leader in emerging markets, endeavors to deliver value to the customers. The client manages telecom solutions at a global level.
Our client had an immediate requirement for system integration in order to streamline and improve their existing processes and business operations. Ideally VNO operator require a platform which is very crucial from management’s perspective and which can easily integrate workflow system so that existing business operations can be planned, configured, activated and billed with minimum human intervention . Consequently, we required software framework which could simplify overall system integration that provide standardized interface to VNO operator.
We were involved in development of solution with underlying focus on generating revenue and reducing cost. Our clients faced difficulties with managing the entire processes and reducing the operational costs. They were in dire need of such solutions. At this point of time, they decided to invest in process automation, but were skeptical about buying costly software’s licenses and their recurring cost. Other concerns were that they were not sure of the IT infrastructure they would need to support current and future growth. They were also not sure of the applications that they would require. The client was contemplating on the different applications and manual processes required.
Client wanted to create a global definition of terminologies which were common across all applications and based on industry acceptance. We at Sagacity Softwares suggested client to use TMF guidelines as it is only framework which is widely accepted in Telecom industry.
We started to map their existing business processes with e-Tom, analyzing the gap between their business processes and those suggested by e-Tom. Once all processes had been mapped, along with the missing processes, we started developing L4 processes which were very specific to client needs. Once this work was completed, we started working on information model across enterprise to make sure that all applications can share data in near future without increasing the cost of change requests across integration of systems.
After completing both frameworks, we went to the next level to determine the client’s software requirements and understand the functional requirements these software’s will follow. These functional requirements were used to float RFP to various software/system integrators. On the same lines we also developed SOA based architecture for client which will cater for his future requirements with least change in systems.
With all these approaches we were able to significantly reduce the cost on trainings and operations. It also reduced overhead costs by eliminating redundant and repetitive tasks carried out by multiple departments. Before the implementation of this project it was unimaginable to replace supplier because client was not able to judge correctly the impact of this activity on the customers. This project helped them to understand the impact of replacing the suppliers on the customers. This helped them to gain their customers confidence as the customers were satisfied with the service delivery.
